10-11. June 2010: During the 9th ENCORE Conference in Olsztyn (Poland), the Olsztyn Action Plan (OLAP) was approved, as well as the Monitoring Report of the Aragon Action Plan (ARAP). Signing of the Valencia Charter by new regions and signing of the Declaration of the ENCORE regions on Combating Biodiversity Loss . The Conference was attended by 220 participants from 43 regions (15 countries), among them 29 ministers.

26 May 2010: ENEA-MA Meeting in Warsaw

The International
Seminar on Defining the Role of Regions in European Climate Policy, to be hosted by the Province of South Holland (the Hague, Netherlands), scheduled for 2010, has been
cancelled.

The
INTERREG IVC project called "WATER CoRe", in which 7 partner regions participate, has been
approved last 5. November by Interreg IVC's Steering Committee, as one of the 67 projects chosen out of 481 submitted.

4. March 2010: High Level Summit on climate change hosted by Région Île-de-France and The Climate Group in Paris.
The Climate Group and some of Europe’s most powerful regional governments have sent a joint statement to EU leaders to warn that more ambitious EU climate and energy policies will be essential to powering Europe’s future competitiveness, growth and jobs, as well as to prioritize common actions towards a low carbon economy, on the road to COP16.
